Pair of Rosenthal-Netter Bottles with Stoppers

I am so pleased to be able to offer this WONDERFUL 1960s piece of Modernism! These bottles will go with any of your Eames period or Danish decor.

The Bottle is a highly textured pottery with a semi-glossy glaze. The base color is a mustard yellow trimmed in a deep cocoa brown. Around the center is a very wide band of a multicolored jungle type pattern of brown; oranges and yellows.

These bottle or Jugs have the original stoppers. The short bottle measures a generous 11 inches high x 6 1/3 inches in diameter. The Tall bottle is 17 1/2 inches high x 4 1/3 inches in diameter.

These are made in Italy and were imported for sale at the high end stores. I was told that these were purchased downtown LA at the Bullocks Dept Store. The Manufacturer is Rosenthal-Netter. These are marked on the on the bottoms: Italy (Incised). The small bottle is 20/2A and bears a sticker. The tall bottle is 70/1A and also bears a sticker.

Condition: The small bottle has no chips or cracks. It is in terrific condition! The Tops on both jars apparently lost the cork that surrounded the neck stem. The previous owner took tape and surrounded the stem to allow the stopper to fit in the jar more tightly. The tall bottle was repaired by the previous owner. (I've taken pictures of the neck of the bottle). Originally I wasn't going to include this bottle in the auction. However they look so good together I didn't have the heart to destroy the it's being included!
